Unique Things To Do in Vegas with Kids
In this post, I will share my favorite unique things to do with your kids in Las Vegas. These family-friendly Las Vegas activities are located directly on the strip, making them easy to build into your Las Vegas Itinerary.
The majority of these fun Las Vegas attractions are short and sweet, allowing even young children to experience the magic of Vegas!
1. Flyover Las Vegas
Conveniently located near the MGM Grand Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, Flyover Las Vegas is an exciting activity both kids and adults will enjoy. This immersive ride will awaken your senses as you soar over incredible landmarks and landscapes.
Visitors can choose between three immersive journeys highlighting the Wonders of the American West, Legendary Iceland, or Call of the Canadian Rockies. These experiences are filmed with helicopters and show real people and real places. It’s an incredible escape from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip that will leave you inspired to visit new places!
This incredible Las Vegas experience takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, including the 8-10 minute ride and an educational and engaging preshow. There is no age requirement to participate, but the minimum height requirement is 40″ tall.
Flyover Las Vegas tickets are available for single rides and double rides. They are even available to purchase packaged with signature cocktails (and mocktails) from The Lost Cactus bar at Flyover Las Vegas. The best value is the double-ride tickets, so I recommend that! Make sure to pick up a souvenir at their wonderfully curated gift shop.
2. Nathan Burton Comedy and Magic Show
I recently attended this show on a trip to Las Vegas and was impressed! It’s hard to find a show in Vegas that is both appropriate and entertaining for kids, and the Nathan Burton Magic Show is just that! The best part is that it’s just as fun for the adults. I still can’t figure out how he did most of his incredible magic tricks!
This 4 pm afternoon comedy and magic show in Las Vegas is in the same building as Flyover. Pairing these two family-friendly activities makes for a fantastic afternoon itinerary. The show lasts just over an hour and is fast-paced, keeping the kids engaged!
3. The Big Apple Roller Coaster at New York New York
A Las Vegas landmark for over 25 years, the Big Apple roller coaster is something everyone should experience at least once!
With a minimum height requirement of 54″ (without shoes), this ride is best suited for older kids. However, kids of all ages can enjoy an arcade in the same area!

Note: Riders must leave all bags, hats, sunglasses, and cell phones with a non-rider or in a locker rental. Stop at your hotel to drop things off before visiting.
4. Adventuredome at the Circus Circus Hotel
This 5-acre indoor amusement park is home to 25 fun rides and attractions, including an arcade and mini golf, for kids of all ages. You may even run into one of the Circus Circus clowns.
Adventuredome wristbands are sold as an all-day pass, so you can spend as much or as little time as you’d like here. I suggest this indoor activity for those hot summer days when you need to escape the daytime heat.
5. Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay
Kids of all ages will enjoy a visit to the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. This attraction is open daily and is home to over 2,000 animals. Get up close and personal with the sharks (and more) as you walk through the underwater tunnel.
This Las Vegas aquarium is open to all ages, and kids under 5 are free. Plan to spend about 45 minutes to an hour exploring this Las Vegas attraction.
If visiting at night, consider planning dinner at Retro by Voltaggio, also at Mandalay Bay. This restaurant is a throwback to the 80s and 90s and is full of nostalgic memorabilia that will baffle kids.
6. The Botanical Garden & Fountain Show at the Bellagio
If you are looking for something free to do in Vegas with kids, you’ll love The Bellagio’s fountain show and rotating garden exhibits. This also happens to be one of our favorite family hotels in Las Vegas.
To enjoy the seasonal 14,000 sq ft botanical garden at the Conservatory (Bellagio’s Opus), enter through the main hotel entrance and head straight back into the exhibit.
The gardens change seasonally, so there are weeks when the exhibit is closed, so make sure to check here before your visit.
The famous evening fountain shows start approximately every 15 to 30 minutes, depending on when you visit. To enjoy the show, line up along the railings along the water directly on the strip. This water show is accompanied by popular music and is sure to impress your little ones.
7. Taste of Coca-Cola
Your kids will have a blast tasting 16 sodas from around the world at the Coca-Cola store on the Las Vegas strip! The Taste of the World beverage tray includes samples of drinks from Peru to Italy and many places in between.
This is a fun place to pick up souvenirs, including a personalized 8-fl oz. glass bottle of Coca-Cola!
8. The LINQ High Roller Observation Wheel
Ride the LINQ High Roller and get a birds-eye view of the Las Vegas strip! This 550-foot-tall attraction is the largest observation wheel in North America, and guests of all ages are welcome.
Each air-conditioned pod holds approximately 40 guests and allows riders to sit or walk around, enjoying views from all angles.
This experience lasts approximately 30 minutes and slowly rotates once around. However, it is popular, so budget plenty of time for purchasing tickets and waiting in queues.
9: Excalibur’s Tournament of Kings
The Tournament of Kings is the ultimate dinner and show experience for families in Las Vegas. If you have little ones, the 6 p.m. showtime works well with dinner and bedtime.
Based on the legendary tale of King Arthur, this approximately 75-minute live-action production is sure to impress your kids.
Watch their smiles and brave knights on mounted horses prove their honor right before their eyes. Just be warned, everyone will have to eat dinner with their hands!
