Some of the best Scottsdale resorts offer kids’ clubs, water parks, and scheduled activities for the whole family. Others focus on offering quality rooms and suites that will make your whole crew feel right at home.
Below I’ve put together a list of what I think are the 11 best Scottsdale resorts for families based on my experiences with my own family.

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is an excellent destination for families looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Scottsdale. The resort offers a wide range of amenities and activities suitable for all ages, including multiple swimming pools, a heavenly spa, a fitness center, tennis courts, and a golf course.
The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we recommend getting one with an outdoor fire pit. Staff will come nightly to turn it on and off and it adds to the resort’s ambiance.
There are three restaurants on-site serving Southwestern, Italian, and Asian cuisine. Night owls will enjoy the live entertainment in the main lobby after the kids are in bed.
Families will love the hotel’s 10 swimming pools, complete with a 3-story water slide, man-made sand beach, and waterfalls.
Overall, Hyatt Gainey Ranch is a perfect family-friendly destination for a memorable family vacation in Scottsdale.
2. Westin Kierland Resort & Spa
Just a short drive from the Scottsdale Airport, lies the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. Not only does the property have spacious rooms and suites with cozy beds and great views, but the Westin Kierland is also known for its kid-friendly amenities.
First is the Kierland Mining Company, located near the front desk. It’s a special desk where you can find out about fun things to do around the resort.
Head to the O.K. Corral, a kid-friendly outdoor space with lawn chess and table games, as well as an area for daily activities for the family. They even have family s’mores roasts on the weekends!
Then there’s the Westin Family Kids Club. This is a drop-in care center for ages 4 through 12 where they really strive to make your kiddos feel welcome while you golf or head to the spa.
Of course one of the main reasons kids will love this Scottsdale resort is its waterpark. Adventure Waterpark has a lazy river, Kierland FlowRider flow-board simulator, a splash pad, and a toddler pool. Your kids might never want to leave!
