Located just a half a block from Millennium Park, The Fairmont is the perfect location for taking a night time stroll with your loved one or having a glass of champagne at The Bar before heading to a show.
Couples can also book a package called Love is In the Air, which includes overnight accommodation for two at 20% off the best rate, a bottle of bubbly, and a late check out. Upgrades with chocolate covered strawberries, roses, or breakfast in bed are also available. This might be the perfect romantic way to celebrate with your sweetheart on a long weekend.
Sofitel is centrally located in the Gold Coast and its unique architecture is stunning. Higher floor rooms offer beautiful views of the city and Lake Michigan. This year Sofitel is bringing back their version of Paris’ “Love Locks” bridge. As homage to the famous bridge, romantics are invited to attach locks to a display at the entrance of the hotel declaring their eternal love and friendship throughout the entire month of February. Every lock attached to the exhibit last year will return with the installation so couples can return to visit their messages of love. Locks can be purchased at the hotel or couples can bring their own. At the end of the month, the display will be taken down and stored until the following February when it returns with all of its locks from previous years.
Those looking for a grander experience may want to try the Magnifique Romance package which includes a love lock, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, complimentary breakfast, and a luxurious late check out of 4:00 p.m. (upon availability). Who wouldn’t want to take advantage of this?
This hotel is close to Michigan Avenue, and the Waldorf Astoria Chicago is all about luxury, comfort, and service. They offer a variety of packages where guests can enjoy a stay in a room or suite with a fireplace. Some packages include spa time or wine with strawberries, so you’ll have to find the one that’s right for you. Located in the Gold Coast, the Park Hyatt has a beautiful and intimate spa with both private massage rooms as well as a couples massage room. NoMI Spa offers a calm oasis away from the action of downtown.
In addition to the spa, NoMI Kitchen is also located at the Park Hyatt. NoMI Kitchen offers fresh American contemporary cuisine and one of the best views in the city, overlooking the historic Water Tower and Lake Michigan. The tables by the window are often considered among the most romantic in Chicago.
Another property located just off Michigan Avenue, Four Seasons Chicago has a very romantic experience available at their spa. The Skylight Swim is available to hotel guests only, and provides exclusive access to their 50-foot indoor swimming pool and attached jacuzzi. Guests who book the experience have private access to the pool from 11pm-midnight. They are served champagne and canapés poolside. It is booked on a first come, first served basis, as they can only accommodate one couple per evening, but what an unforgettable experience it would be.
The hotel also has a Moonstruck on Michigan package that is perfect for a romantic getaway. The package includes the following:
- Bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial

The Peninsula bills itself as a place “Where Far Eastern Graciousness Meets with Midwestern Hospitality” and everything about this luxury property is an extension of that philosophy. Located just off the Magnificent mile, the hotel’s Shanghai Terrace was voted the number one Chinese restaurant in Chicago by Zagat and the menu encompasses a magnificent blend of traditional dishes and creative renditions of classics. Couples may also want to enjoy breakfast, brunch, or afternoon tea at The Lobby or grab a drink at The Bar before calling it a night.
The Peninsula Spa also offers couples massages in a private suite if you simply want to spend the day relaxing.
