It’s amazing how time flies when you are having fun and our great American road trip is coming to an end. We said goodbye to my parents and the farm we called home for the week in Cooperstown and headed out in a light drizzle to our destination for the day: Pittsburgh. Neither my husband nor myself had ever visited “Steel City”, but we were excited to see as much as we could in less than 24 hours.
This summer our family will be embarking on a favorite American pastime, the great summer road trip. We will travel from our home in Chicago to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. While this might not be at the top of everyone family’s bucket list, for a mom of three boys playing travel baseball, it’s pretty high on ours. We will be traveling with our twelve year old’s team to play other teams from around the country at the Cooperstown Dreams Park for a one week tournament.
